FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT

Under the Freedom of Information Act, it is the duty of all public authorities to adopt and maintain a Publication Scheme. Market Weston Parish Council formally adopted such a scheme in January 2009. The scheme obliges the Parish Council to provide information in response to requests made by members of the public and through the publication scheme gives details of the Council, the classes of information it holds, the common information it holds, the activites and functions of the parish council and the manner in which information will be made available to the public.
